It changes people

Addicts are people of different way of mind and they are people of different foundations. When a person addicts on something there soon will be nothing left of that person you used to know. It is sad but it is true and people should know it. They should know it because they have to be very careful with strangers as strangers may hurt them. And in case there is a person you used to know and now this person is a drug addict or something you have to know that you have nothing to do with this person. There is nothing in common between you and him or her and there is also nothing in common between this person and the one you used to know. It is a stranger and it is a different person. It is a person without foundations and beliefs and so on and so forth. They can do anything, they are ready for anything in order to get what they and there is always only one thing they really need. There are no values for them and no lines they can’t cross. Addicts are people different from those they used to be.

The nature of addiction

There are a lot of addicts and they have the peculiar stuff they are thirsty for and so the peculiar reasons for addiction. There are those drug-addicts and there are alcoholics and shopaholics and so on and so forth. They have different obsession but still they have one thing in common – they are possessed with the stuff. There is the thing that rules their whole life and they are helpless before it and they can do nothing in order to rule their lives themselves again. The nature of addiction is the lack of something. People feel the emptiness inside and it is impossible for them to live with that emptiness. So, they start looking for something to feel that gap and they usually find the addiction. They are emotionally sick people and with the help of drugs or alcohol or gambling they hide from that emptiness, they make it invisible. But once they stop everything is back to that terrible order again and they need another doze of adrenalin to make that emptiness stop hurting them. That is the nature of addiction. And people will never be cured without suggesting them something to fill that emptiness inside.
